Who We Are & What We Do

The Nicholas House offers transitional sober living in York PA and greater south central Pennsylvania. Our York and Lancaster PA Recovery Houses and Sober Homes were structured around a core philosophy of accountability, responsibility and community.

Nicholas' Story.

He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. And like countless thousands before him - he struggled with chronic addiction. In 2012, Nicholas lost that 10 year battle. But his memory, his family, and his friendships in recovery led to the founding of The Nicholas House Sober Living & Recovery Houses: A place for second chances... A place that believes in recovery.

In Our Residents' Words:

"I'll never be able to repay The Nicholas House for what they gave me when I was first getting sober. The houses themselves are really nice, but the way the guys got together and held each other up was what made it different from other recovery house experiences I've had. I made lifelong friends, real friends that will last for the rest of my life."
